require-selections: docs refer to rule that is not available in latest release

using v3.20.1

I was trying to use the rule require-selections which replaces the require-id-when-available rule, but it looks like the replacement was not completed in v3.20.1 -- I suppose my question is: do the docs track the latest alpha release, or the stable release? Should the docs be reverted, or should a note be added to the page explaining the pending replacement?
