The feature

It would be awesome if we could have a "Built with Govdirectory" image similar to Wikidata's "Powered by Wikidata".

Why?

I have two upcoming projects based on the data collection for Govdirectory and it would be neat to be able to provide a nice looking shutout and back-link.

Examples and inspiration

"powered by Wikidata" see the footer on: https://www.govdirectory.org/

I like 1, 4, and 5 the most. Would love to see a compact(lower) version of 5.

Okay, here are some variations of a compact version:

(The reason there was so much space before was that the parallelogram had the exact same proportions as the orange part in the symbol. That is not an idea I am married to, this looks better.)

I did notice! :-)

I'm fond of the bottom left one.

Maybe also a dark mode compatible version?

Maybe also a dark mode compatible version?

Would a white fill be enough?

I like the mid and lower left ones.

I think we could offer all three in the left column as alternatives for a reuser to choose from.

Now, for some practicalities: do these logos fit in this repository, or should they go somewhere else?

Maybe a dedicated repo for the media/promo files like the videos (which are now on commons), these logos, among others...
Keep the website repository for the website. ;-)

I like that. What should we call that repository? Some alternatives:

  • Media
  • Promotional material
  • Brand resources

Brand resources sounds good to me, it seems slightly broader than the options.
