Module suggestion: Better formats

The better formats module allows you to make a much nicer editor experience by setting default text formats for different fields and also restricting text format selection from users who don't need it (and should only be using the default format for a given field).

The module is widely used and quite stable but doesn't have a stable release yet.

I will be spending a bit of time in its issue queue soon to try to help push it along to a 1.0 release.
