Discontinuing development on v3.0

Hey everyone 👋🏻

We won't be continuing work on the 3.0 branch of the Python SDK.

We still think better OpenTelemetry support is important -- and we now have a better way to achieve that goal, one that doesn't require a new major release. So stay tuned for baked-in OTLP support soon. 🚀

To everyone trying out the alpha releases available: first of all thank you for helping us iron out issues. As there won't be a stable 3.0 release*, we highly recommend switching back to the current stable line of releases (2.x at the point of writing) to get access to all our shiny new features and integrations.

(* There might be a 3.0 at some point in the future, but it'll not be based on the work that went into the existing 3.0 alpha releases.)
