The page regarding the Source Maps for React Native is not very clear:

The section regarding auto-upload of Source Maps does not clearly explains when the upload is performed. Also the impact it can have on the plan used. I have seen this comment getsentry/sentry-react-native#2609 (comment) stating that the upload occurs when building a release ? Is it the case ?
