I'm currently running backrest in a Docker container and would like to back up a PostgreSQL database using Given that backrest itself is running inside a container, what is the recommended approach to perform this kind of inter-container operation? This seems like a fairly common use case, so I'm wondering if there's a more standardized or seamless solution that others typically use to achieve this. |

After reviewing similar discussions in the issues section, I've concluded that the simplest and most effective solution is to mount the Docker socket as a volume. This allows the Backrest container to directly reference other containers by their names. |
