How much work would it entail to port this extension to Visual Studio 2017? Do you have any idea? Thanks :)

I thought Visual Studio Code and Visual Studio are completely independent products that have nothing in common. A bit like Java and JavaScript. (The whole point of branding is to confuse users.)
