Files transfered fine but everything is zero bytes?

After a long, long process of closing or uninstalling literally most apps on my Mac and the Android, OpenMTP finally, magically worked. I transfered the files I needed to, and it all went off so smoothly I made the mistake of celebrating (silently). But then I tried to open these files and they're all — every single one of them — zero bytes? Can't figure out why. Please help?
