Cache generated email link

Currently, the page's content is evaluated for shortcodes to build the autoresponder link every time the edit page screen is loaded.

This is excessive. It only needs to assess the content when the post is saved.

I'm a little confused. Each time the edit page screen is loaded it is typically after you save it ("update"). No? Or maybe you are saying that when I first open the page from the list of pages there would be no need to check for page content at that point since I have not many changes yet. But once I make a change and hit the "update" button, then we will check for page content and modify the link accordingly?

That is correct. When you first click on the page, and when you first hit "New Page" the plugin is trying to calculate that link. I'd have to trace it closer, but it may also be doing the same when WordPress tries to do a background save. It should only be calculated when hitting "Save Draft", "Publish", and "Restore Revision".
