Feature-typed variables are now implemented by generating a unique enum for each feature.
This is all well and good, however, this prevents assignment between similar variables, where one feature is a subset of another feature.
In this case, we would expect the assignment to work. However, the enum literals map to different numbers and thus are not compatible with each other.
