Erroneous syntax highlighting in F77 when using '/'

The two selected lines disable most of syntax highlighting in all lines below.

Assuming that your code compiles..
That looks like a bug in line-continuation highlight.

The highlight recognizes the character & for line continuation .. when you break a line without it the highlight identify this as wrong.

Can you try inserting the & at the end of the line to check if this is what is happening?

I'm not used to old Fortran syntax, didn't knew you could break a line like that.

If adding the missing & is the case, than I encourage you to take a look at the line-continuation-operator in the syntaxes/fortran_free-form.tmLanguage.json file to add a rule that can work in this case.

The problem is not the line continuation but the slash.
I'm definitely not an expert in Fortran but according to this ancient documentation page the slash is valid syntax:
