Hi there, it's not possible to do it directly from homebride.
you need to install node-red instance on your host, then import the library from github and make some configuration because it's only a template exposing basic functions. In my case i am using:

1/ Openhab as a automation software with mqtt
2/ node-red with ultimate plugin with added mqtt messages for two-way ccomunication with openhab items
3/ i am exposing openhab items to homekit ithout homebridge so this is not my use case, not sure if homebridge is capable do do it without additional software
