Obstacle and Solution - Refocusing the Project's Vision: Prioritizing the Scheduling Engine

After careful consideration of the project's development and its trajectory, I am making a strategic decision to refocus our long-term vision.

The baseball simulation has served as an excellent and highly effective foundation for building and testing our core ideas. However, it has become clear that the most significant and powerful innovation to emerge from this work is the advanced, environmentally-sound scheduling system itself. Its ability to manage complex, concurrent, and logistically-aware schedules is a major accomplishment.

Going forward, the primary goal will be to develop this scheduling engine as a more generalized and abstract platform. This will allow us to concentrate on our core innovation without being constrained by the specific norms or future evolution of any single sport.

This is a proactive step to ensure our development plan is clear, concise, and focused on creating what has the potential to be a premier and highly advanced scheduling solution.

Following the recent decision to refocus the project, I want to share the long-term vision for this scheduling engine. To provide more clarity on our long-term vision, I'd like to outline the strategic roadmap as we move beyond the foundational baseball simulation.

Our development will proceed in distinct phases:

Version 4.x: Transition to a General-Purpose Environmental Scheduler
The next major version series will focus on abstracting the core scheduling engine. The goal is to transition from a baseball-specific model to a general-purpose environmental scheduling system. During this phase, we will ensure there is no loss of the core sports concepts we've developed. Key principles like the Player Social Contract, Residency Blocks, and a deep Commitment to Environmentalism will be generalized to serve as the philosophical foundation for the new system.

Version 5.x: A Generalized Sports Scheduling System & International Expansion
By version 5.x, the goal is to have a robust, generalized scheduling system capable of handling the logistics for most any US sport.

This version will also mark the beginning of our international expansion.

apm-world v5.0.x will introduce Australia, in a phase we're calling MVA (Minimum Viable Australia).
Following MVA, we will begin work on the IM (India Model). This phase is particularly significant as it will more deeply integrate the project's origins in Ayurveda and showcase our advancing capabilities in ML Engineering and AIOps.

This roadmap allows us to build deliberately on our successes, evolving the project from a specific simulation into a powerful, generalized, and globally-aware platform.
