Hello,
I have a problem where music files that I convert from FLAC to MP3 are missing the format for the cover image in the MP3 file. This should be “image/jpeg,” but this information is missing in the MP3 file. Am I doing something wrong?
Here is the image information from the FLAC file. You can see “image/jpeg” above the size:
Here is the image information in MP3Tag after conversion to freac. Here you can see that “image/jpeg” is missing:
And here is the image information when I replaced the image with the same image in MP3Tag. Here, “image/jpeg” is present again:
In the file itself, I can also see that “image/jpeg” cannot be found after conversion, but after replacing the image in MP3Tag, it is there again. So this does not seem to be an error on the part of MP3Tag.
Unfortunately, I noticed that my daughter's MP3 player (Sony) does not display the cover image without this information. If the information is available, everything is fine.
Can I set this somewhere so that this “image/jpeg” information is added during conversion?
Best regards,
Thorsten
