- Display and power: dims or disables the built-in display and controls Automatic, Low Power, and supported High Power modes separately for battery and adapter use.
- AirPlay and SideScreen: selects an AirPlay display or launches the official SideScreen app directly in USB or WiFi mode—no connection-mode selection required.

- Download the latest
Halftop-v*.zipfrom GitHub Releases. - Unzip it and move
Halftop.appto Applications. - Open Halftop. It runs from the menu bar and does not appear in the Dock.
SideScreen shortcuts require the official SideScreen app from SideScreen Releases.
If SideScreen is missing, Halftop shows an install link and hides the SideScreen USB/WiFi shortcuts.
The optional Launch SideScreen at Login toggle installs a Halftop LaunchAgent that opens the official SideScreen app after login; SideScreen's own Auto-start streaming on launch and startup mode preferences handle the connection.
For development, install Xcode Command Line Tools and run:
./script/build_and_run.shThis builds, bundles, signs, and opens dist/Halftop.app.
Use ./script/build_and_run.sh --verify to also confirm that the app launched successfully.
