Browser not prompting user to save login credentials (authentication embercast)

I have an ember app that has login/logout logic implemented according to the authentication screencast. It works like a charm, but the browser does not ask the user (after login) if they want to save those credentials. The same applies to 1password extension. It never detects that a login has occurred. Any comments on this? Ideas on how to solve it?
