GSoC 2026 Contributor Introduction - Agastya Kataria

Hello maintainers, I’m Agastya, a Computer Science student with a Java/backend background and experience building data-heavy applications and dashboards.

I’ve been reviewing the 2026 ideas and the CLIXML Visualizer for Release Attachments currently looks like the best fit for me.

My plan today is to set up SW360 locally, inspect how release attachments are currently handled, and understand the cleanest place to introduce CLIXML parsing and rendering.

Before I go deeper, I wanted to ask:

1. whether there is already a preferred internal representation for parsed CLIXML data in SW360, and
2. whether the best first contribution would be around backend parsing/tests or a smaller UI-side task in the current attachment/report flow.

I’ll share setup progress and concrete findings as I go.
