Hono-Kafka-Command and Control API Issues

Hi , I have been using hono for quite a while now, in my cluster i have deployed with both the messaging infrastructure enabled with artemis and kafka, i have been successfully integrate kanto with amqp network for remote device management, but with kafka i am able to not rollout commands via my modified script to kanto is there something otherwise indicating any changes to hono configuration to be carried out to ensure functionality ?

I assume that your device is connected to the same protocol adapter. The only difference therefore might be in your back end application's interaction with Hono. If you are using the ApplicationClient interface, then you should not experience any difference, though. Without more details regarding your setup and what you are trying to do and what is not working as expected, it will be hard for us to help.

Yes, the device using kanto framework connected via mqtt adapter, (the backend application is eclipse-kanto here), Our main goal is to use eclipse hono and eclipse kanto for device management and related.

Goal:

We have eclipse hono with both AMQP and Kafka enabled in our k8s , The southbound application in my case is eclipse-kanto ( Connected via honos mqtt adapter), With respect to this, we are using telemetry, events and command and control for data transfer and command and control for remote device management., While the above operations are functional with AMQP 1.0 network, the Command and control for kafka doesnt seem to be operable from using a north bound application, which connects to kafka ( similar to that of amqp) and writes to container-manager in kanto via honos mqtt adapter, the issue is this works with AMQP , but not the kafka.

the command rollout from hono-kafka to kanto container manager for tenant created in hono with kafka messaging infra and modified scripts ( similar to that of the script/ business application provided for amqp in kanto-how to with modified to connect to kafka and updated topics ) to aid to connect to kafka topic and write to it to rollout a container in edge kanto is not working as expected
