The functional lambdas added in #549 should be generalised and applied to anywhere that a database broker is obtained, and a Collection/Document is read/written.

This is a large piece of work, so perhaps it will happen in two tranches.

@shabanovd Basically abstracting the higher-order-functions in RESTServer, i.e. withDb, readDocument, writeDocument, readCollection and writeCollection. Eventually becoming an internal lambda API in their own right for accessing the DB.
