which java version to install by default? Opinions are welcome here! #71
Description
It was rather unexpected for me, that Java has already been released twice since the release of {rJavaEnv} back in 2024. The default Java version 21 is fine for now, as it is LTS and it's support will end on 2030-10-31, so for a few more years it may be a reasonable default, but at some point I would perhaps switch the default to the latest LTS or to one version before the latest LTS.
