Can you check if your desktop sets and exports the XCURSOR_THEME environment variable?

It does not.

Try setting XCURSOR_THEME to the theme name of the cursor that you want to use. It seems GLFW may rely on that environment variable to pick the correct cursor which may not be set by KDE on Wayland

Apart from being smaller, this works:

I needed to set XCURSOR_SIZE=32 to change the cursor size.

Just saw this in a another app, something on my system changed recently and has messed up cursors on Xwayland.
The weird thing is that when I run xlsclients, supersonic doesn't come up (meaning it should be running on wayland) which doesn't make sense why it would be affected.

GLFW, the underlying windowing platform, uses client-drawn cursors on both X11 and Wayland
