I was thinking about Twinsock instead of Trumpet, but indeed it would seem nice to get networking too.

Do you think the unix side of Twinsock could be a dosemu plugin?

It could, but for now lets just
install Trumpet. Swapping the
2 would be simple.

My main issue with Trumpet is that the original author is still selling the software and asking people to pay for it also when they still run it on Windows 3.1:
