Files licensed CC-BY-SA-2.5

I'm trying to package the library for the Debian project but the v2/dom.go and dom.go files are under CC-BY-SA-2.5 and as the CC license in version 2.5 is not compatible with DFSG, I was wondering if you had any alternative to these two files?

Hi.

The use of CC-BY-SA-2.5 in those files only pertains to docstrings/comments. Would it be feasible for you to strip them, or would that cause problems due to checksums?

Also, is the problem with any CC-BY-SA, or just version 2.5? The MDN states that

Unless otherwise indicated, the content is available under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license (CC-BY-SA), v2.5 or any later version.

So we should be able to update

to include "or any later version", too.

CC license in version 4.0 is considered to be compatible to the DFSG.

If you could make it clear that this is a CC-BY-SA-4.0 license, that would be great.

What do you think about licensing it under the CC-BY-SA-4.0 license?

"CC-BY-SA 2.5 or later" subsumes "CC-BY-SA 4.0". I don't see why we'd have to make it stricter than necessary. You're free to call it CC-BY-SA 4.0 on your end.
