Old versions of numpy and matplotlib

After seeing that you worked on some issues I commented in a while ago, I wanted to give the library another try. But when installing I have the following issue:

1. It is not available via conda, so I have to mix pip+conda, which is really not wanted.
2. It wants to install old versions of numpy and matplotlib, specifically:
   • matplotlib-3.7.5 from Feb 16, 2024
   • numpy-1.26.4 from Feb 6, 2024

That broke my whole environment, seem like I have to set everything up from scratch now.

Sorry for that. Did you install version v2.0.14? Can you provide more details?

Heatrapy has only been available on pip, not on conda, which makes it difficult for me to verify whether a new version works on conda. However, I will make it available on conda. There is a workflow that needs to be followed before that happens, but I will start it now and let you know once it is available there. For now, I will upgrade NumPy and Matplotlib to the latest possible versions.

It should have been V2.0.14, yes.

And I did use pip, it is just that mixing conda and pip installed libraries is not ideal. Anyway, pip tried to uninstall the current versions of both matplotlib and numpy to install the specified versions from heatrapy. This for some unknown reason failed and in the process nuked the environment. Perhaps you could specify versions like "at least version x" to allow easier solving of versions in general.

@Eheran1 A new release upgrading NumPy and Matplotlib to more recent versions has been launched (February 21) (v2.1.0). It is already available on pip.

Moreover, I have already created the PR that will add Heatrapy to conda:
conda-forge/staged-recipes#32286

Let’s wait for the review. The build has passed, so the integration will most likely be successful.

I tried to install it into my new environment, but it does not work and the reason is as before: It requires a specific version of numpy: 2.2.6 from 2025 May 18. Is there a reason for that? That does not work with python 3.14, which was released a few months later. I would assume any version until numpy 3.0 will work without breaking changes.

@Eheran1 A new version compatible with Python 3.14 has been released on pip (heatrapy v2.1.1). However, I am having trouble making it available on conda. Once I manage to publish it on conda as well, I will let you know. In the meantime, you should be able to install it using pip.
