I am having the same issue described here:

#2

I've installed JDK/JRE in a custom location, updated my system's environment's %PATH% to include it in the list, rebooted, confirmed that jdb starts up.

But I still get the same error, and the log files look similar to that older issue (which should have been fixed already?).

Is there a fix or workaround? I'd like to stick with Leiningen, as I'm already using it on my MacBook Pro and under Linux.

(Note that, despite %PATH% pointing to the JDK's bin directory, the lein installer still claims it can't find a JDK when it starts up....)

Ah, the problem appears to be that I'm downloading JDK 9.0.1.

I downloaded the latest JDK 8 to the canonical location, and now the installer works fine.

Haven't tried it in a different location, but at least I have a workaround.
