Cookie and configuration default path

Can you define a default path for possible configurations and the cookie. I know you can pass them manually via the command line, but I was wondering if you can define a default path.
Also, I think the CLI version fails silently. Not using any cookies whatsoever. Plain command invocation with local/direct remote images
