Why data expiration?

Hi,

I have recently started to see awkard results for my username, while they were ok some time ago.
After some searching, it seems this is due to data expiring after some time (4 months, I believe).

Now, I wanted to know the rationale behind this limitation. Is it GitHub's event stream limited? Or is it this application which imposes that threshold?

I think it's a pity such state of affairs. It greatly reduces this app usefulness. You may have done a lot in the past, but only your last 4 months matter. That seems unfair to me.

Well, I am glad that I am not the only one that has been noticing this. I thought perhaps I was just remembering things wrongly.
