Add a "sponsor us" banner showing our sponsorship goal

To Solves The Issue:

I've created a small web component to display a "DDEV Sponsors" banner anywhere on a website. You can see it here:

https://web-components.mark.ie/web-components/ddev/sponsors-banner/.

To use it, simply add the following JS file to your page:

https://web-components.mark.ie/web-components/ddev/sponsors-banner/sponsors-banner.js

Then add the following element wherever you want it to appear

<ddev-sponsors-banner></ddev-sponsors-banner>

@markconroy, thoughts on modifying the script slightly? It would be great to make the ddev logo optional (maybe on by default but with a way we can remove it). I could add PR to that webcomponent repo if you like. I was looking at your GitHub account, but I can't find it there. Nevermind saw the repo above.

Additionally, if we could make a slim version of it, that would be great.

maybe we could even make the heading h1 optional as it's on the main page.
So it be on p tag and the loading bar.

@bmartinez287 / @rfay I think it would make sense to fork my code to include it in your own repo, then you can make any updates you want yourselves and it might encourage more people to embed it in their websites if the embed is coming from ddev.com rather than mark.ie.

If you get it forked, I can close my repo and then make any updates you want for it on the fork instead.

It looks like @markconroy 's repo is for lots of things other than this.

I was suggesting to fork/copy, perhaps put it under this repo, or if it made more sense in a freestanding repo.

Sorry, I forgot that I was making this as part of a package of web components.

All you need is the JS in this file: https://github.com/markconroy/web-components/blob/main/web-components/ddev/sponsors-banner/sponsors-banner.js

Then when that is added on any page on your website, you can just add a custom element like this <ddev-sponsors-banner></ddev-sponsors-banner> to render it.
