[Question]: Upgrade from version 2

We have been using your generated FHIR classes (v2) in our project very successfully.

As our PHP version is now finally updated, we can start using v3 and v4 of your bundle.

I could not find this in the documentation and it might be a moot point but let me rather ask then assume:

Is the generated V3 and V4 code compatible with the v2 code to the extend that the class-names and function signatures are the same or do we have to amend our code if we update to v3 or v4?

I'm glad to hear v2 has been working so well for you! Always good to hear that this tool has been useful for folks.

However and unfortunately, no, I have not taken the time to define a migration guide. v3's API is similar, but not directly compatible, and I no longer provide any kind of support for it for numerous reasons. I would not attempt to use it for any sort of migration or "upgrade".

v4's API will be around for a very long time, as it finally enables me to do what I've wanted to do with this library sine the beginning but never had time. I'm fairly happy with it, but its API is drastically different from every previous incarnation of this library.

I do have some AI credits available, however, so let me see what it can come up with for a v2 -> v4 migration guide.

Your code has made it possible for our Primary Health Care System that is running at all City of Cape Town clinics to communicate with our National Health Laboratory Services and enable digital lab ordering and resulting for hundreds of patients per day, thereby cutting down errors, time and money. It also plays a crucial role in our e-prescribing and e-dispensing as well as our interactions with our provincial and national patient registry.
So I think it is safe to say that your code was more than useful. It has a real impact on the quality of care and the quality of live of a lot of people.

Thank you for the elaborate migration documentation. It will be a true help when we migrate over in the near future. Once we start the migration I will ensure to feedback and contribute to the migration documentation.
