Can I use RRIDs for a repository in the Repositories tab of DataCite Commons

What is the problem that your suggestion solves?

I would like to connect the citations/mentions that a data repository RRID receives (see DOI:10.1002/leap.1586) with the citations that each dataset in the repository receives.

I would like to especially initially do this for the repositories that are run by my team as a demonstration for how this data can be brought together for other repositories. Zach Chandler would like to do this for Stanford repositories. The Open Data Commons for Spinal Cord Injury (n2t.net/RRID:SCR_016673) is a repository that we run in the lab at UCSD. The repository uses DOIs, but has no listing in the Repositories tab of DataCite so I can't get the data about that repository, but I can retrieve individual records, e.g., https://commons.datacite.org/?query=10.34945%2FF57W2G

RRIDs are used for inputs to scientific studies (those inputs can be data from data repositories) thus ~3000 data repositories are listed and have been assigned RRIDs.

The citation includes PhysioNet. RRID:SCR_007345. and the DOI https://doi.org/10.13026/rtc6-cq72

About 1200 RRIDs for data repositories have been mapped by Re3Data. There is usually a 1:1 relationship between RRIDs and Re3Data entities.

Both projects work to map to each other and we reconcile when we can.

In ~140 data repositories DataCite has a 1:1 relationship between a repository with RRIDs but there is no relationship that helps to connect the RRID citations with the DataCite Citations (https://rrid.site/data/source/nlx_144509-1/search?q=datacite&l=datacite)

What solution might meet your needs?

Our proposal is to add the RRID to each repository record:

We would like to then see the ODC-Sci RRID in the repositories tab as an aggregator for all DOIs that have this feature.

We have text mining platforms and we have asked authors to add RRIDs to papers.

there are two repositories using the same DOI prefix.
also the DOI prefix does not do what I need it to do (aggregate citations and information around a repository).
