Wavebird intialization

Looking at code for another adapter and I was wondering about the 0x4E command for Wavebird initialization! Can't find anyone else mentioning it. I may have to sniff the serial commands between my wavebird and a gamecube.

There is a bit of information in here: . Not much information though in the init enhancement.

I have seen 3 different device states so far from the wavebird here:

Not connected: 168 / 0x00A8
Connected: 57577 / 0xE0E9
?: 49385 / 0xC0E9

init: 0x00
origin: 0x41
poll: 0x40, 0x03, 0x00

Data from receiver just repeats. Not sure exactly what to do with the 0x4E command. I am guessing maybe I am asking the receiver to poll but I am not giving it the right ID or there is some other deeper issue 😅

Looking at the communication between the receiver and the console on my oscilloscope the console is sending out a 0x4E + 2 bytes of id request after the wavebird receiver responds with only A8. Looking at your source it seemed as if we were getting that from the id 0x00 response
