Sort film rolls by folder name does nothing #20703

Description

@outfrost

Is there an existing issue for this?

  • I checked and did not find my issue in the already reported ones

Describe the bug

In the "collections" panel in lighttable, the preference to "sort film rolls by: folder name" appears to be no different from "... by: import time". After selecting "folder name", clearing any filtering rules, and even toggling ascending/descending and back, the film rolls are still in import time order, against alphabetical, ascii/unicode, or numerical order one could expect for folder names.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Import a few film rolls deliberately out of name order
  2. Switch the collections panel to sort by folder name

Expected behavior

Display film rolls in some common folder name order (by ascii/unicode codepoint, "natural", alphabetical then numerical, etc.)
