How would I go about installing the latest version of keychain on a debian system?

It isn't clear to me where or how to install keychain on a debian system. Or, how to build a debian package for this. Any help would be extremely useful since there aren't really install instructions in the repo itself.

I know this is old school but do I just need to download the file and put it in my path?

I mean I guess I am slow here.

I just need to put the binary in my $PATH and the man page in my $MANPATH and then install the completions.
