Permission based filtering of chat messages

I recently had the "problem" in a PvP Oneshot that I wanted to hide the rolls from group 1 and 2 from each other, while still allowing them to see what their teammates did. I thought about tabbed chatlog, but since they were on the same scene, it didn't work like I would like it to be.
Would you be happy with me creating a pull request adding support to create new tabs and limit visibility to it per user?
