Hi @creepymonster (and community)!
Thank you so much for creating and maintaining this app. When I first started using a CGM, it was a Freestyle Libre 3, and Glucose Direct helped me get readings to show in a Garmin smartwatch. I eventually switched to Dexcom G7, which as you know has better integration with tons of different apps and services. I am back to looking into Glucose Direct for some research projects though, and I have some questions.
With Libre 3, why is scanning the sensor necessary if you end up connecting to LibreLinkUp anyway?
Does GlucoseDirect take over getting data from the sensor, so that the Freestyle Libre 3 app is no longer needed?
It appears that every time my phone turns off, I have to re-scan the sensor in the app. Why is that?
Suggestion: it would be an easier setup if you asked for the LibreLinkUp user name and password before asking to scan the sensor (or if you at least showed the values in the config screen instead of hiding them). You could label them with something like: "LIbre 3 users only."
There is a notification that says "open app in xx hours and xx minutes." Does that mean that if you don't re-open it, you lose data? So it only syncs when it's active, not when in the background?
Thank you again!
Gabriel.
