rss url links that are not RSS feeds cause the app to crash

The fbi rss feed I have in my old config (https://www.fbi.gov/feeds/fbi-this-week-podcast/rss.xml) no longer exists and the url redirects to the root domain of the website.

I would like to:

• figure out why the issue is happening
• Add proper go error handling for it

Note:
Deciding on how to present the error is out of scope for this immediate fix. Crashing the app with a descriptive error message would be okay for now.
