Consul support deprecated in upstream Cilium? #17

When I ran the Cilium command outlined in the README, I got this in my terminal:

level=warning msg="Support for Consul as a kvstore backend has been deprecated due to lack of maintainers. If you are interested in helping to maintain Consul support in Cilium, please reach out on GitHub or the official Cilium slack" subsys=kvstore url="https://cilium.herokuapp.com/"

The line has been there for 2 years now, and the commit history is indeed pretty...dead. The functionality was not removed entirely, but the fact that it was on the chopping block at all doesn't feel great?

(This isn't really a bug, but I wasn't sure what template to use 😅)
