ArcGIS endpoint leading to 404

I'm trying to utilize this for hosting vector tiles to use with ArcGIS JS SDK.
I am running with the --enable-arcgis flag.

The two following endpoints work as expected.
http://localhost:8080/services/<title_id>
http://localhost:8080/arcgis/rest/Info

http://localhost:8080/arcgis/rest/services/<title_id>/MapServer gives me a 404.

Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated.

I'm not able to reproduce this as of the latest changes on main (though nothing here should have changed in last few years); what version of mbtileserver are you using?

What is the tile type of the tileset at <tile_id> (PNG, JPG, vector tiles)?

Are you running with any other command line options?

Are you able to share the specific value of <tile_id> here? We're doing a little logic here to try and resolve the tileset ID from the incoming URL, and I wonder if something is not working in that logic for your specific ID.

I created a mbtiles from geojson using tippecanoe with the params below
tippecanoe -o data/out/smcparcels.mbtiles -l smcparcels -n "San Mateo County" -z13 data/in/currentsmcparcels.json --force -
-projection=EPSG:4326 -s EPSG:4326

I installed the latest mbtileserver from the read.me
go install github.com/consbio/mbtileserver@latest

ran it with the command below
mbtileserver -p 8080 --enable-arcgis --verbose

I also had tried the docker container as well.

The file is smcparcels.mbtiles so the <tile_id> is smcparcels

Thanks for the extra info! Still nothing obvious there that would cause this to not work.

Are you manually moving the tileset from data/out to tilesets in the directory where you are running mbtileserver? Or should there also be a --dir <absolute path>/data/out/ argument?

To confirm, if you go to http://localhost:8080/services you see smcparcels listed as one of the tilesets?

I am manually moving it.
When I go to that path this is what i see. I also added the world_cities tileset from your test data.

Your most recent example has a casing issue: "mapserver" => "MapServer". It must be in that case (this is the standard for ArcGIS, so we don't attempt to allow case insensitive matching).

That seems to have been the issue.

The result json doesn't seem to work with the ArcGIS VectorTileLayer object however.
I will look into that myself. Appreciate the help on this issue

Some of that might still be a TODO or another. I'm not sure of the degree of compatibility for mbtiles-based vector tiles in an ArcGIS ecosystem. I think we verified image tiles worked in ArcGIS Javascript API / ArcGIS Online, but I don't recall if that is true for vector tiles.

The ArcGIS APIs here are pretty limited because I don't use them myself and they haven't been a high priority to other contributors. If you find easy improvements there feel free to submit PRs (but bigger changes may be a harder sell if they extend beyond what is available in mbtiles files or the existing command line options).
