So that's the full loop. Chat, hands, memory, soul, anywhere, heartbeat. An OpenClaw-style agent rebuilt as a normal Next.js app on Vercel.
The point of this tutorial wasn't to clone OpenClaw feature-for-feature. It was to teach the principles — how a personal AI agent actually works under the hood. Tools through OAuth. Memory scoped by user ID. A soul that gives the agent identity. The same agent runtime reachable from web, Telegram, or a cron tick.
If you understand those primitives, you can build any agent product from here.
One thing to be honest about. What we built is a chatbot. It's a great learning artifact and a fine starting point, but a lot of the things you'd want for real users are out of scope for a tutorial — context compaction so conversations can run indefinitely, sandboxed code execution, encrypted credentials, a full audit trail.
If you want to skip ahead to a production-ready version of the same idea, Composio just open-sourced TrustClaw at https://trustclaw.app. Full disclosure — that's the team I work for, and TrustClaw is a revenue-generating app we just made free.
It's built on the same stack you just used in this video — Composio, Vercel AI SDK, Postgres, Telegram, cron — plus the production hardening we left out:
- 3-layer context management (pruning, memory flush, summarization compaction)
- Sandboxed remote execution for every tool call
- OAuth-only credentials brokered through Composio
- Full audit trail of every action
- One CLI command to deploy your own copy
git clone https://github.com/ComposioHQ/trustclaw && cd trustclaw
pnpm install
npx @composio/trustclaw deployTwo minutes, fully self-hosted on your own Vercel account.
So: this tutorial teaches the principles. TrustClaw is the version we ship to paying customers, now free and open source. Pick whichever serves your use case — fork this repo if you want to learn by building, fork TrustClaw if you want production-ready out of the box.
Either way, the source is in the description. Thanks for watching.
