Version numbering in the SFD file

Problem

Not clear how to do version controle in the SFD file, because the version would be part of the generated font.

Context

Two ideas are on the table:

1. Added Scandinavian and German glyphs #30 (comment)

Yeah for the Version thats fine but ModificationTime is a auto-set field of FontForge. How to handle that?

Seems that if you go File -> Preferences and turn off "SaveEditorState"

then ModificationTime and some other bothersome fields get removed entirely.

That is what I have disabled since I used FontForge. This only saves opened windows and where in the editor you edited something.

Update the description with what was decided in the issue here -- and the work to fix this issue is to document the decisions in the repo. (probably minimum the readme) and any other code changes that are possible.
