[ BUG ] Chinese characters not rendered in exported PDF

First I want to thank you for such a beautiful plugin!

I am using Obsidian 1.11.5 on MacOS Intel, and Things theme 2.1.20

Today when I was exporting my notes to PDF, I noticed that all Chinese characters are not rendered in the exported PDF, they are left blank. I did some testing and found the following:

When using default theme, Chinese, Japanese, and Korean characters are rendered correctly

When using things, Japanese and Korean characters are rendered correctly, Chinese characters are left blank.

Here is the file I used to test:
CJK test.md

Currently I'm reverting to default theme as a workaround.

What installer version are you using now?

Not beside my PC so I'll report later. But meanwhile:
Installer v1.9.10, Obsidian v1.11.5 on M1 Mac, can reproduce
Installer v1.11.5, Obsidian v1.11.5 on M1 Mac, can reproduce

Did it happen on Restricted mode?
It may be related to community plugins.

Hi, unfortunately restricted mode does not fix this.

I've checked my Mac Intel and it shows both 1.11.5 as Obsidian and Obsidian installer version.
Could it be that I don't have the correct font installed?

Maybe you can try installing a different font.

I selected Apple SD Gothic NEO as text font and this resolves the issue

I was using the default font which I think is Inter? Didn't change anything there before.

I will note down this case.

I've tested this on a new vault with restricted mode and default font, all is working well. So I think it may be related to system environment.

Here's the possible situations:

1. Obsidian did not embed the font while the pdf reader doesn't have the supported font.
2. macOS will delete the unused font, like PingFang SC, especially when you don't have enough disk space.
