Authorized Use Only (dual-use security software)

Use only against systems, networks, accounts, and data you own or are explicitly authorized in writing to test, and in full compliance with applicable law. You are solely responsible for your use. Unauthorized use may be illegal.

AI Output Notice

AI/ML outputs are probabilistic and may be inaccurate, incomplete, biased, or fabricated ("hallucinations"). Verify independently before relying on them; do not use outputs as the sole basis for consequential decisions.

License Terms (COCL v1.0 summary)

  • Source-available, not OSI open-source. Free for Non-Commercial Use (personal, research, education, authorized security testing, <=30-day internal eval).
  • Commercial Use requires a separate license - contact licensing@cognis.digital.
  • Retain this notice, the LICENSE, and all attribution in copies/derivatives; mark modified files as changed.
  • Contributions are licensed inbound=outbound and grant Cognis a perpetual, sublicensable, relicensable license (enables dual-licensing).
  • Limited patent grant; terminates if you initiate patent litigation over the Software.
  • No trademark rights to "Cognis"/"Cognis Digital" beyond customary attribution.
