Hello typesafe-i18n community,
We are Sasan Jaghori, Martin Ledl, Benjamin Strasser, Jacob Palecek - former colleagues of Ivan Hofer, the creator of typesafe-i18n.
As many of you may already know, Ivan has sadly passed away. He created something truly exceptional with typesafe-i18n, and we've had the privilege of using it professionally across multiple projects. We firmly believe it remains the best TypeScript i18n solution available - combining 100% type safety with an incredibly lightweight ~1kb footprint and zero runtime dependencies.
After careful consideration and discussion with Ivan's family, we've decided to step forward as custodians of this project. We believe Ivan's work deserves to continue, and the community deserves ongoing support.
Our Role Going Forward
We see ourselves as stewards working alongside the community to maintain and evolve typesafe-i18n. The package is incredibly well-designed - even unmaintained, it continues to work remarkably well, which is a testament to Ivan's exceptional engineering. Our goal is to honor his legacy while ensuring the project remains viable for everyone who depends on it.
What's Next
We're excited to continue Ivan's work and look forward to collaborating with all of you. Please don't hesitate to reach out with questions, concerns, or ideas.
Let's keep typesafe-i18n moving forward together.
