This is a traditional American sandwich that evolved from Tea Sandwiches.
Bacon is a form of cured meat, usually from a pig, that is sliced and cooked.
Traditionally, pork belly bacon is used in a BLT, but shoulder bacon is also very good.
Traditionally, iceburg lettuce is used, but any lettuce will do.
