use hierarchical structure for NetBox device roles

Since NetBox 4.3 device role can have a hierarchical structure, Malcolm should use it. To do this for the user easily a library like for device types might be handy.

Under Datamodel you find a possible role structure and the corresponding yml file

It would be helpful to get some feedback to the list.

• Where do you disagree?
• What role is missing?
• Which color do you prefer for each group (see /utils color template)

Note: That the roles and there structure are mainly for the OT environment .

Good suggestion. For context for those reading this who may no be familiar, currently we use this plugin to load our device roles on initialization, we'll look at the roles/structure suggested by @Crubumble.

The workflow you described would be unchanged. The repository mentioned in the initial post only serves to adjust the yml file. The plugin you mentioned need only some adjustments when the role/structure is reviewed and finalized.
