Direct download of PT Model files

It would be a good option if we could download the model files (.pt) directly rather than through the app. Sometimes it gives a connection error and I have to put it on download again. This has happened quite a few times. Just a thought. Don't know if it is already available or I may have missed it.

Also you can find the model location by going to Preferences -> Model Preferences. Then select some downloaded model and select "Show location"

Open AI Whisper or the regular Whisper models will be in "whisper" folder, other whisper types use Huggingface hub downloads. Not sure how easy it is to manually download the models, but some simple python script can definitely do it. I might not have been clear in my previous message. I do know the loaction of the model (.PT) files on the local machine. I was referreing to the server locaitons of the model (.PT) files. Sometimes downloading through the app causes errors and it has to be done again.

I had one instance where I had to download it 4 times due to some connection error and there is no resume facility when done through the app. It would be easier if we could directly download it through a download manager with resume facility or a resume facility in the app itself.

Agree this could be improved, created a task, for now there is no exact timing for when we could implement
