Even when the word is highlighted in another color, it always shows #F8E81C as the word's color

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Start typing some code
2. Select a word, change its highlight color by clicking on the top right yellow icon
3. De-select the word
4. Re-select it
5. The color is still F8E81C

Expected behavior:
It should show the correct color of the highlighted word
