Partitions list confusingly includes installation media

Is there an existing issue for this?

• I have searched the existing issues and found none matching what I'm reporting.

Bug Description

The partitions list confusingly includes my install USB stick (sda) which clutters the list with four irrelevant partitions:

Steps to reproduce the behavior

1. Install Ubuntu from USB.

Expected behavior

The partitions list should not include the installation media. Or at least should summarise entire unchanged drives as unchanged, rather than listing all the unchanged partitions.
