Bug Description

When installing Xubuntu 25.04 I observe that the installer window can not be resized, I assume this will happen with all Ubuntu flavors. There's no resizing handles at the window edges and I can't resize it with alt+click either (that just drags it).

This is annoying, eg for the partitioning dialog, which has lots of scrolling on the particular system. I have enough screen space to see most of the information, but no way to get the window to use it.

I see no reason for the installer to not be maximized by default and should definitely be resizable and maximizable.

The version in use:

snap list | grep -i ubuntu-desktop-bootstrap
ubuntu-desktop-bootstrap 0+git.3dcb29d80 366 25.04/stable/… canonical** classic

Steps to reproduce the behavior

  1. Try to install Xubuntu 25.04 by starting the live usb and clicking the installer on the desktop
  2. Try to resize or maximize the pointlessly small installer window
  3. You can't
