The current voting process for CA/B Forum Officers has proven effective throughout the years but has one significant drawback which is the fact that the votes cannot be guaranteed to be 100% confidential.
There are e-voting systems that have been successfully used for election of officers or governing bodies in SDOs and other organizations that provide full anonymity of the votes.
The CA/B Forum has an opportunity to effectively test an e-voting system called "Zeus". Zeus was initially forked from "Helios Voting". It is an open-source project under a GPL v3 license. Here is the initial publication of Helios.
Here are some properties associated with e-voting:
It requires some administrative overhead to initiate the vote compared to initiating the vote via email
It provides convenience by tallying all votes but there is some learning curve for Voting Members
Anonymity of the votes is guaranteed in a cryptographical manner.
After discussion at the F2F#61, there appears to be consensus to amend the Bylaws in section 4.1 and enable the option for e-voting tools like "Zeus" along with the option for the traditional "email" voting. Each CWG and the Forum-level may decide which method to use.

Add language to Bylaws that allows voting for officers via another electronic system other than the current one, which is emailing independent third parties.
